Several states have already introduced and passed legislation that protects and ensures its sportsmen’s values and lifestyle. With about a month left of the 2025 legislative session, Arizona is continuing to move sportsmen-protection bills forward.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 26, at 8 a.m., in HHR 4, the Arizona House Judiciary Committee is scheduled to hear two important sportsmen-protection bills. Use the Take Action button to email the committee and urge them to vote “Yes” on SB 1143 and SB 1705.
Senate Bill 1143 prohibits payment card network from requiring or incentivizing the use of a merchant category code in a manner that distinguishes a firearm retailer from other retailers.
Senate Bill 1705 strengthens Arizona’s firearm preemption law by allowing a court to impose civil penalties on individual local officials who knowingly violate state firearm preemption laws. It also prohibits the use of public monies to defend or reimburse the unlawful conduct of anyone found to have knowingly and willfully violated state firearm preemption laws.
Sportsmen around the nation are becoming more familiar with animal extremists, other radical elements, and even our so-called “allies” working to cancel our way of life forever. That is why there has never been a more important time in our history than now to pass these two sportsmen protection bills.
Do not forget to share this important alert with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen and gun owners. Urge them to join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in standing up to fight, protect, and defend against the rising tide of animal and gun control extremism. The extremists work tirelessly to crater our rights, values and heritage and we must work harder to ensure they are secure today, tomorrow, and for the future.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most.
