On March 27, Tennessee Governor, Bill Lee, signed House Bill 2263 into law, strengthening hunting, angling, trapping, and boating in the Volunteer State.
HB 2263 requires Fish and Wildlife Commission appointees to be actively involved in activities regulated by the commission, including hunting, angling, trapping, and boating. The bill does not stop there it also states that the commission and the agency shall support and promote hunting, angling, and trapping, including the management of predators through hunting and trapping, as preferred methods of wildlife management and conservation.
Last week, the Senate concurred on SB 2223 / HB 2762, sending it to Governor Lee, giving him another chance to prove his support for the sportsmen and women of Tennessee.
Senate Bill 2223 / House Bill 2762, the “Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act, protects Tennessee’s sportsmen’s credit card purchase privacy by prohibiting a financial institution or its agents from using a firearms merchant category code (MCC) by a firearms retailer physically located in this state in a manner that distinguishes a firearms retailer from a general merchandise retailer or a sporting goods retailer.
