The Sportsmen’s Alliance has learned that anti-hunting legislators will attempt to amend the massive environmental spending bill – HF 2310 – with a forever-wolf-hunt ban when the bill is brought up on the House floor for final passage TODAY. Sportsmen who believe in managing wildlife must respond! No hearing! No testimony! They want to jam this down the throat of everyone in Minnesota when nobody is watching. We cannot let them succeed.
Animal extremists are clearly attempting an end run of the legislative process to get this hunt ban in place, irrespective of what the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) or sportsmen have to say about wolf management now or at any time in the future.
To prove this point even further, an amendment will also be offered to demand that DNR establish a new wolf pack in the twin cities metro area, turning wildlife management on its head by taking all authority out of the DNR and vesting it in the legislature. This cannot be the “new” Minnesota and sportsmen must remind every legislator what the North American Model is all about.
Please use our Take Action button below to reach out to your state Representative without delay and ask them to support you and all sportsmen by opposing this attempted hijacking of the process on a big spending bill that shouldn’t include major policy changes such as these. Banning hunts and forcing the establishment of wolves in the Twin Cities are not decisions that should be made in the dark of night.
Don’t forget to share this critical alert with your family, friends and fellow sportsmen to take immediate action by contacting their state Representative to OPPOSE this attempted hijacking of a big spending bill to attack sportsmen.
