Last week, the New Hampshire State Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee held a hearing on two hunting bills.
House Bill 490 permits the use of game cameras so long as any harvest takes place more than 10 hours after viewing game remotely. Currently, the Fish and Game Department prohibits hunters from taking game viewed the same day as on a game camera. The legislation will also require written permission from any property owner where a game camera is placed and requires hunters to affix labels with their name and contact information on all cameras put in the field.
Another bill, House Bill 1052, permits the use of semi-auto rifles that are limited in capacity to six rounds. The bill also prohibits hunting with full metal jacket ammunition.
