Assembly Bill 28, a bill to raise taxes on sportsmen and gun owners, is scheduled to be heard on Tuesday, July 11, in the Senate Public Safety Committee at 8:30 a.m. in room 2200.
AB 28 imposes an additional 11% tax on the gross receipt from the retail sale of any firearm, firearm precursor part, or ammunition and establishes the “Gun Violence Prevention, Healing, and Recovery Fund,” which the additional 11% tax will go towards funding.
As we previously reported, AB 28 blames sportsmen and gun owners for violent crime and forces us to fund the “feel-good” programs that will do nothing to improve public safety in failing big cities that have become overrun with homelessness, drug addiction, and community breakdown.
Please use our Take Action button to email the members of the committee urging them to OPPOSE AB 28. Violent crime is a societal problem with many causes that everyone should bear instead of singling out innocent sportsmen and firearms owners.
Don’t forget to share this important alert with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen and ask them to also email the committee urging them to OPPOSE AB 28.
